Spine Combined Workflow Remote Access

As a response to COVID-19, Imprivata has created additional Spine Combined Workflow functionality that allows users working remotely on devices without an Imprivata agent installed to access published desktops.

This is intended as a temporary measure to help ensure access for workers affected by the pandemic who may not have access to their normal equipment or authentication devices.

Important: This feature allows the use of single-factor authentication - Username and password - and is thus not recommended for use in normal circumstances.

This feature is disabled by default.

To enable Spine Combined Workflow remote access:

  1. In the Imprivata Admin Console, open the computer policy where you want to enable the feature.

  2. Select the Override & Restrict tab.

  3. Under the Spine Combined Workflow section, select the "Allow emergency-use single-factor spine combined workflow" checkbox.

  4. Repeat for each computer policy where you want single-factor authentication to be allowed.
