What's New in Imprivata PatientSecure 6.10
Imprivata PatientSecure® 6.10 contains the following new features and technology updates.
New Features
Language Support for Epic Kiosks
PatientSecure’s integration with Epic kiosk gives patients a better check-in experience by expanding language support to include French, Arabic, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Haitian Creole, and Bengali.
Location Date Format for Epic Welcome Kiosk
PatientSecure displays date formats according to the language selected at the kiosk. Now, customers have the option for the PatientSecure date format to remain consistent with Epic, using a MM/DD/YYYY date format regardless of the language the patient has selected at the kiosk. A consistent format is helpful when patient navigators assist the patient, as location-based date formats may be less familiar.
Client UI Updated to Remind Registrar to Check Patient's ID
Checking the patient’s government-issued ID at enrollment helps registration staff ensure that they link the patient’s hand to the right record. For Cerner and Epic customers, new graphics within the Search and Create workflow remind staff to check the patient’s ID.

Windows Kiosks - Authentication Header Requires Vendor Token
The Windows Kiosk API requires the vendor token in the authentication header when using the PatientSecure Hub and Gateway components on Windows kiosks.
For more information, contact your Imprivata representative to obtain the Imprivata PatientSecure Windows Kiosk API Guide, v.2.0.
Patient Identifier API Tags Cannot Contain Spaces
PatientSecure EMR patient identifier API tags cannot have spaces in them when using the TCP/IP API. If such a tag does contain a space, a warning level log message is logged, indicating that an invalid character was used and that the patient identifier is excluded from the API response.
Linux Hub Compatibility
The PatientSecure Linux Hub has been updated to support preferred patient names.
If your Linux Hub will connect to a PatientSecure 6.9 (or later) environment, you must update the Linux Hub to version 2.0.0.476. Older Linux Hub releases are not compatible with a PatientSecure 6.10 or later environment.
