File Processing Logs
As part of Utilization Reporting, PatientSecure monitors the specified file share location for registration data files. When a registration data file is encountered, PatientSecure processes the data and adds the utilization results to the Dashboard charts and activity reports.
NOTE:PatientSecure does not have knowledge of the job or process that sends a registration data file to the file share. We recommend that you monitor the job you have created to ensure that files are regularly created.
To monitor the processing of the registration data files:
-
From the Admin Console menu, select Troubleshooting > File Processing Logs.
The File Processing Logs page displays summary and status information for the file processing.
-
To filter the list, enter a date and time range in the From and To fields, or click
and select the date and then click
and select a time, and then click Search.
The default is the last 30 days.
The default To: time range displays one hour in the future.
-
To display file processing details, select an item from the list.
The details for the file are displayed, including any warnings.
-
- (Optional) To expedite the processing of any unprocessed files, click Process Files. PatientSecure monitors the file share locations on an hourly schedule. Depending on when you make the data files available on the share, you may want to expedite the processing of any unprocessed files.

There may be scenarios where you need to remove all of the data associated with utilization reporting, for example, when the original formats of the registration files were incorrect or the utilization reporting settings were not set correctly.
-
Click Remove All Data to remove all of the data associated with the processed files.
NOTE:This action does not delete the registration files on the network share; it removes the data from PatientSecure.
-
Correct the format of the original registration files and reprocess them.

The File Processing Details dialog expands the status information of the file processing.
The status codes are as follows:
- Processing file: The file is currently being processed. This status can occur while PatientSecure is processing very large registration data files.
-
Warning: Row - N: Message: Skipped 'NNN' is unable to be parsed. The file processing encountered a row that could not be parsed.
Users and locations Tabs
In the File Processing Details dialog, you can map unknown users or locations found in the registration data file to PatientSecure users or locations.
BEST PRACTICE: To maintain the most accurate registration data, you should map as many unknown users and locations as possible to PatientSecure users and locations.
If you are unable to map certain items to PatientSecure users or locations, it is a best practice to map them to an easily-identifiable test or junk user or location.

-
To display only unmapped users, select Show only unmapped users. Clear the checkbox to display all users.
